Using a variety of Slab building or pinch pot making techniques you can create a mug or vase or possibly both. You can decorate your pieces with coloured slips and use found leaves or flowers ( please bring with you) to press into the clay. You can add stencils and stamps and handles or leave the sides without.

The clay we will use is stoneware and so you will be able to use your pieces in the kitchen and everyday use. You can either come back and glaze them with me for an extra £25 or you can leave them with me to transparent glaze and fire and then let you know when to collect ( or I can arrange postage.)

Workshops take place in my studio in my house in Saffron Walden which is a very pretty market town in North West Essex.

The street I live in is residents parking only but there are several car parks nearby as I am right in the town centre.

I have three dogs who will probably want to say hello and then go and mind their own business.

Please bring an apron.

Classes may run over time.

Please bring a drink with you. I do occasionally manage to make a cup of coffee but no food is allowed in the studio.
