Using Stoneware clay and coloured slips we will make ceramic bowls. I also have a wheel you are welcome to use but in this class that will be fairly self guided.

We will use a variety of molds to make the bowls, They can be carved into with a selection of tools and then coloured slips can be added. I also have screens you can use for printing on the clay. If you wanted to print something of your own design please contact me in advance and I can tell you where to get the screen made.

If you wish to come back at a later date and glaze your pieces you can arrange that with me for a further £25. Otherwise they will be glazed with a transparent glaze and be ready for you to collect ( or I can arrange postage) at a later date.

STUDIO NOTES. PLEASE READ.

Workshops take place in my studio in my house in Saffron Walden which is a very pretty market town in North West Essex.

The street I live in is residents parking only but there are several car parks nearby as I am right in the town centre.

I have three dogs who will probably want to say hello and then go and mind their own business.

Please bring an apron.

Classes may run over time.

Please bring a drink with you. I do occasionally manage to make a cup of coffee but no food is allowed in the studio.
