Ruth Proud is a textile artist based in Staffordshire who creates beautiful hand made flowers using vintage fabrics and wire and intricate stitching. Her work has been exhibited at Craft festival in Cheltenham, Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair and Unit Twelve gallery.
I have admire Ruths delicate flowers for a long time and had often imagined them growing out of the roof of one of my houses so I was delighted when Ruth agreed to collaborate with me.
The houses are made from earthenware clay and measure 12 × 3 × 2cm ( with the flowers the height reaches 19cm) The flowers are made from fabric and wire. They will need a little manipulation to sit how you wish in the house but there are three holes for you to use for display.
You can display the flowers as you wish, they will be packaged in tissue paper in the parcel.
I do hope you will treasure this beautiful collaboration and enjoy them as much as Ruth and I have in our studios.
